Profline, a division of International Datacasting, has been awarded a contract to provide a next-generation satellite distribution network to German public broadcaster Sud-West-Rundfunk (SWR). Based in Stuttgart, SWR is the second largest broadcasting corporation of the consortium of public-law broadcasting institutions of Germany.
For the 12th year in a row, a broad range of Audio-Technica microphones was selected to outfit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. A-T supplied more than 50 mics to capture the audio for the musical event, which took place at Cleveland's Public Hall. The 24th annual induction ceremony of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was held on April 4, 2009. A-T models used include the Artist Elite 5000 Series UHF wireless system, AEW-T5400, AE2500, ATM450, AE5100, ATM350, ATM250, AT4047/SV, AT4050, ATM25 and AT4055.
Australian radio group Austereo has chosen the new Aquira traffic system from RCS. Aquira provides real-time access to sales and inventory data. Austereo operates three national radio networks with stations in all mainland Australian state capital cities along with two joint-venture stations in Newcastle and Canberra, as well as Australia's first national commercial digital radio network, Radar.
