Malaysian radio station Suria FM has installed a D07 two-channel digital transmission processor at its main transmission site. The Kuala Lumpur-based broadcaster is operated by Rimamakmur SDN BHD, a company owned by Star Publications. It broadcasts in Malay and offers listeners a wide selection of contemporary music 24 hours a day. Cats FM, the first private radio station in Sarawak, Malaysia, has also ordered six Jünger Audio D07s to iron out audio level irregularities throughout its FM transmission chain.
Slovak Radio (SKR) -- Slovakia's national public-service radio broadcaster -- has deployed NOA Audio Solutions Mediarc system and NOA Ingestline digital transcription to secure, preserve, and manage the content of its extensive and historic audio collection. The NOA installation at the Bratislava-based national broadcaster was completed in March. Mediarc automates management of audio content within a workflow, and Ingestline is used to record content into an archive system.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed a multiyear contract with Skyview Networks to serve as the radio broadcast software provider for the ball club. Skyview specializes in radio network distribution, automation systems and syndication and will provide its F.A.S.T. (Flexible Audio Storage Technology) inventory management system and Live Read software to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The software grants full control over all radio inventory on its flagship station.
British house DJ and producer Nic Fanciulli recently installed an Allen & Heath compact XB-14 broadcast mixer into his studio to record and broadcast his weekly syndicated radio show called "Nic Fanciulli Presents Worldwide Sounds." The XB-14 received a Radio magazine Pick Hit award at the 2010 NAB Show.
Logitek has sold JetStream console engine/IP audio networking systems were to KACU-FM in Abilene, TX, and KSBJ-FM in Humble, TX. KACU plans to use the JetStream for IP audio routing; KSBJ has purchased four JetStream units along with four Mosaic consoles, which will be set up in air and production studios throughout the facility. WLCC in Tampa, FL, purchased a Pilot-12 control surface and WXPN in Philadelphia bought a Mosaic-8 control surface; both stations are expanding existing systems. In Melbourne Australia, Chinese Community Radio station 3CR placed an order for four JetStream units, two Pilot-12s and one Pilot-18. The JetStream units will be networked via IP to share audio sources among the three studios at the facility.
