RAB: Radio Sees Seven Consecutive Quarters of Growth
New York - Nov 18, 2011 - Radio's 2 percent 3Q2011 increase to $4.527 billion caps seven consecutive quarters of upward momentum. Revenue for year-to-date through September 2011 is also up 2 percent over the same period last year, to $12.891 billion.
Spot revenue maintained its steady course, while network spending grew 2 percent. Digital once again posted the largest increases for the quarter (+17 percent) and year-to-date (+18 percent), with other off-air up 10 percent and 8 percent for those periods, respectively.
