Premiere Radio Networks Taps Polycom for CMA Awards Remotes
Los Angeles - Oct 5, 2010 - As part of Premiere's annual radio remote broadcast leading up to the 44th Annual CMA Awards, country radio stations will be able to use Polycom's video and telepresence systems to virtually participate in the remote broadcast from Nashville Nov. 7 - 9, 2010. The technology will allow stations to interview country music stars via live video, thus minimizing on-site staff to a single representative. The video-link stations will also be able to immediately post video of the interviews on their websites.
Participating video-link stations include WUBL Atlanta; WMZQ Washington, DC; WSSL Greenville, SC; WBCT Grand Rapids; KTST Oklahoma City and WYRK Buffalo. Polycom systems being used for the remote broadcasts include Polycom HDX 8000 Series high definition telepresence, Polycom VVX 1500D business media phones, Polycom RMX 4000 real-time media collaboration platform and Polycom RSS 4000 video recording, streaming and archiving.
