Atlanta, GA - Sep 3, 2009 - Karen Richardson has been named the director of sales at Auralex Acoustics. Richardson has extensive experience in multiple sales channels and will lead Auralex in expanding the company's presence in the custom design and electronics installation market as well as maintaining its position in pro audio, MI and commercial installation markets.

Richardson's experience includes the position of national sales manager for home theater products for Genelec, VP of consumer sales for Bryston and accounts specialist for Parasound Products. Just prior to joining Auralex, she held the position of president of the ASL Group, a distributor of upscale home audio brands.

Richardson has also been involved in numerous industry organizations such as CEDIA's Manufacturers Council, CEA as chair of the High Performance Audio Board, and secretary treasurer of the Audio Engineering Society's San Francisco chapter.
