Gepner Named CEO of Vitec Services Division
Burbank, CA - Sep 21, 2009 - Vitec Group has appointed Jerry Gepner to the post of divisional CEO for the Vitec Services Division. Having joined the Group in 2005 as CTO, Gepner has most recently held the position of Interim president for Bexel.
Prior to joining Vitec Group, Gepner served as president of National Mobile Television (NMT). He has also held the position of executive vice president for Fox Sports and was co-founder and COO of Sportvision, the technology company that created the virtual first-down line for football telecasts and other well-known computer graphic enhancements for live sports telecasts.
Gepner has been the recipient of five Emmy Awards, the 1998 Digiglobe Award from Deutsche Telekom, the 2003 Broadcasting All-Star Award and is a named inventor on 11 U.S. patents in the fields of television production and virtual imaging.
