Quincy, IL - Sep 10, 2012 - Commotion, a Broadcast Electronics company, has appointed Don Backus as vice president of global market development. Backus will focus on establishing a presence for Commotion in new global markets. Commotion develops social and mobile solutions that allow its customers to take control of social and mobile media with better audience engagement and monetization opportunities.

Backus has 40 years of active, hands-on broadcast experience. He has both a professional and personal interest for the broadcast industry and serves as a director on the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Foundation. Most recently, Backus had been with Enco Systems in a senior sales management role.
