Barone Named Managing Director of Landmark
New York - Mar 12, 2007 - Robert Barone has been appointed the managing director of Landmark Digital Services. Barone was previously senior vice president information technology and operations for BMI, and a member of the team that led to BMI's acquisition of the art Blue Arrow digital audio recognition technology and the establishment of Landmark Digital Services in August 2005.
Landmark is a wholly owned subsidiary of BMI. It was formed to own, deploy and develop the Blue Arrow technology and now has independent offices in Nashville and a staff of two dozen. Landmark's first focus is to provide BMI with additional radio performance data, expected to begin later this year.
Barone joined BMI in December 1993 as vice president information technology and was named BMI's senior vice president operations and information technology in 1999. Prior to joining BMI, he held senior staff positions with MCA and Capitol-EMI. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from California State University, Northridge
