2007 Webby Awards Radio Winner Announced
New York - May 1, 2007 - The 11th Annual Webby Awards announced the winner for Best Radio site of the Year. The Webby Awards honor excellence on the Internet, including websites, online film and video, interactive advertising and mobile websites. The academy announced winners in more than 100 categories from more than 60 countries and a full list of winners can be found at www.webbyawards.com.
The winner in the radio website category is BBC Radio 1.
In addition, more than 400,000 votes were cast by people around the world for their favorite sites, videos and ads in The Webby People's Voice Awards. The People's Voice Award in the Radio category is NPR.org.
The winners will be honored on June 5 at New York City's Cipriani Wall Street.
