Slocum Working With Smarts Broadcast Systems

Scott Slocum is now representing the product lines of broadcast software and hardware for Smarts Broadcast Systems of Dallas and Emmetsburg, IA. Smarts offers the Windows-based traffic and billing software, as well as the Linux-based Smartcaster and Skylla digital audio systems for live and automated media outlets.

Slocum is a veteran of the broadcast business, with a recent stint as a representative for OMT/Imediatouch, and 11 years of service with Computer Concepts (now a part of Google) in its broadcast division. He also worked as national sales manager for Radio magazine, and began Turnkey Media Systems in 2002, providing specialty broadcast software and hardware applications.

Before his involvement on the vendor side, Slocum worked in all aspects of broadcasting, from station programming and consulting to on-air positions, news, and station management and ownership.
