SBE Creates Affiliation with Pakistan Engineers
Indianapolis, IN - May 20, 2010 - The Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and the Broadcast Engineers Society of Pakistan (BESPAK) have signed a memorandum of understanding, creating an affiliation agreement between the two organizations. The arrangement provides for an exchange of information and technical papers between the two organizations as well as SBE Bookstore discounts for BESPAK members.
BESPAK is a recently formed organization of radio and television engineers in Pakistan. The chairman of BESPAK is Bilal Hasan, an engineer with Geo TV Networks. The SBE has provided organizational guidance to BESPAK as it develops its member services.
SBE President Vinny Lopez, CEV CBNT said, "We are very pleased to enter into this affiliation agreement with our fellow broadcast engineers in Pakistan. The information and knowledge that these two organizations will share in the future will benefit the members of both the SBE and BESPAK."
With the addition of BESPAK, the SBE now has affiliation agreements with nine broadcast engineering organizations around the world including those in Mexico, India, South Korea, Brazil, Uruguay, the Philippines and two in Canada.
