SBE 2011 Membership Drive Begins
Indianapolis - Mar 16, 2011 - The Society of Broadcast Engineers 2011 Membership Drive is now underway and lasts until May 31, 2011. "Raising the Bar" is this year's theme.
The grand prize is a trip to the SBE National Meeting in Columbus, OH, Sept. 27-28, which includes airfare for one to Columbus from within the continental United States and two nights stay at the Columbus Crowne Plaza Downtown Hotel.
Other prizes include two Kathrein AON 65 UHF-TV antennas, a copy of "Small Antennas" by Volakis, Chen and Fujimoto, manufacturer logoed items and more.
In addition to being entered in the Membership Drive prize drawing, a member will also receive a $5 discount on his 2012 membership renewal for each new member he recruits (up to five).
The SBE cites that among the many good reasons to be a member of the SBE is the fellowship it provides. Local chapter meetings create opportunities for learning and forming friendships that can help broadcast engineers professionally as well as personally.
