Washington, D.C. - Jan 23, 2002 – Following a petition from the NAB, Clear Channel Communications, Cumulus Media, Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation, Infinity Broadcasting Corporation and RadioWorks to extend the FCC deadline for comments and reply comments to the multiple-ownership review. In requesting the extension, the petitioners cited the need for additional time to conduct and incorporate into their comments empirical studies about specific local radio markets, including economic and market data about consolidation, competition and diversity in the radio marketplace.

The FCC has granted the extension. The deadline for filing comments in this proceeding IS extended to March 13, 2002. The deadline for filing reply comments in this proceeding IS extended to April 10, 2002.
