Oklahoma Station Uses Barix for In-store Radio Station Delivery Platform
Yukon, OK, and Zurich, Switzerland - Apr 22, 2008 - The Splash of Yukon, OK, has standardized on Barix IP audio decoders to deliver its custom in-store audio programming to retailers, restaurants and other consumer-oriented businesses. The Barix devices provide a live, point-to-multipoint radio broadcast service over IP connections.
The Splash, whose local customers include grocery chain Williams Grocery and restaurant chain Citybites, provides Splash Radio, a live radio station service to its clients, complete with DJ, music and advertising. Splash Radio produces the program feeds at its Yukon studios and delivers them directly to retail outlets, where Barix Exstreamer 100 IP devices receive and decode the audio for immediate playback over the in-store PA system.
The audio feed to the stores is continuous from open to close, featuring a blend of music and advertising customized for the client, with the ability to send music requests for inclusion into the stream to the company's studios.
