Miami Station Uses HD2 to Premier New Music
Miami - May 7, 2007 - Gretchen 99.9 HD2, the multicast of WKIS-FM, Miami, will preview the latest album release from country music performer Gretchen Wilson. The HD2 broadcast preview will run all day on May 9 from midnight to midnight. The broadcast runs nearly one week before the album is released in stores on May 15.
The station is touting the broadcast as the first-ever HD Radio preview of a release by a major recording artist. The station also streams online at www.gretchen999.com.
The promotion shows one way that stations might promote the capabilities of HD Radio.
