Lagarde Active Commits to Digital Radio in Czech Republic
Feb 8, 2013 - Its opposition to digital radio in France notwithstanding, Lagardere Active has expressed its support of digital radio in the Czech Republic, where it is the first private broadcaster, according to a recent article in Les Echos.
Lagardere Active has four radio networks operating in the Czech Republic, with 2 million listeners. Digital radio was introduced in the Czech Republic in 2011, and currently covers about half of the population of the country -- about 5.3 Million people. Czech Public radio recently started three new digital services: one devoted to children; one for jazz; and the last for debates. Lagardere Active has committed to at least one station on digital radio.
