Ibiquity to Demonstrate Active Alerts at 2013 CES
Las Vegas - Jan 3, 2013 - Ibiquity Digital will demonstrate consumer radio products supporting Active Alerts technology at CES 2103. Active Alerts allow a radio station to broadcast notifications from the Emergency Alert System through the HD Radio digital broadcast system. The alert notifications generate pop-up text messages and trigger wake-up/snooze capability on receivers supporting the technology during weather emergencies or other local events.
Ibiquity will present the service and demonstrate the technology during a public briefing at the National Weather Service/FEMA booth in LVCC, South Hall 3, Booth 30478 on Jan. 8, 2013, between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. Demonstrations of the Active Alerts products will also be conducted at the HD Radio booth in LVCC, Central Hall, Booth #9033.
