France's Political Change Likely to Benefit Digital Radio
Paris - May 14, 2012 - The new French President Francois Hollande has named Jean-Marc Ayrault as the Prime Minister in his new administration. According to France's Satmag, this bodes well for digital radio there.
Ayrault was the deputy mayor of Nantes, where some digital radio testing occurred, and has even asked that the DAB+ standard be put in place of the originally chosen standard, T-DMB. The same article implies that the objections to digital radio expressed by Europe 1, NRJ, RMC and RTL will now be overcome due to the political changes there.
