Rehr Resigns as NAB President and CEO
Washington - May 6, 2009 - NAB President/CEO David Rehr has resigned from his post. Rehr joined the NAB in July 2005 to succeed former NAB President/CEO Eddie Fritts, who held the post for 23 years.
Rehr was previously the president of the National Beer Wholesalers Association. During his time with the association, the NAB has challenged the satellite radio merger, supported the transition to digital TV, and lobbied on topics including indecency rules and terrestrial radio performance fees.
Rehr will stay on for one month to assist in the transition. The NAB Board will begin looking for Rehr's replacement. Sources report that current CFO Janet McGregor will serve as interim manager.
