AVT Licenses Apt-x Algorithm for Audio Codecs
Belfast - May 5, 2008 - Nuremberg-based Audio Video Technologies (AVT) has licensed the Apt-x algorithm for use in its Magic range of audio codecs.
The Apt-x algorithms are utilized by more than 20,000 radio stations worldwide. Wilfried Hecht, managing director AVT said, "We have partnered with APT to license the Apt-x algorithm because of the outstanding quality and exceptionally low-latency of the technology. The added benefits offered by the algorithm will ensure that the post-production houses and broadcasters who utilize our codecs have the best-performing product possible."
