Antenna Hungaria, FM1 to Provide Digital Audio Broadcasts to Budapest
Budapest - May 16, 2011 - Hungarian broadcaster FM1 has entered into a long-term agreement with Antenna Hungaria for DAB+ transmission services in and around Budapest. The NeoFM service will be heard via Antenna Hungaria's Multiplex A transmitter starting June 1. Coverage is predicted to be about 25 percent of Budapest. Currently, NeoFM is carried on analog FM transmitters across much of Hungary.
"After the appearance of MiniDig TV last August, we are proud to be the first service to contract for digital transmission services. NeoFM, as one of the most important players in the radio market, trusts in the future of digital radio, and Antenna Hungaria has provided an answer to our digitalization needs," says Tomas Grosz, CEO of FM1.
