Nautel Adds Vargas to Sales Team

Hackett's Cove, NS - Apr 1, 2008 - Nautel Limited has appointed Gerardo Vargas to head the company's Latin America sales efforts. With broad professional experience and 20 years in the broadcast industry, Vargas joins Nautel with extensive skills in international and domestic sales and marketing. He comes from AEQ where he worked as a manager for many years, successfully establishing that company's business in United States and in Latin America. Vargas also worked for five years for CRL, the audio processing company, as international sales manager during which he established the company's distribution worldwide.

He obtained his MBA with emphasis in international business, at the Thunderbird Business School in Glendale, AZ, and he also has a post-graduate degree from the University of Costa Rica.

In a separate announcement, Nautel named Chuck Kelly director of sales. Kelly, who joined Nautel in October 2006 as international sales manager, will now oversee all domestic and international sales and will manage Nautel's fast growing sales organization. Kelly is a 35-year veteran of the radio industry and has worked in sales management for more than 26 years. He is a two-term past president of the SBE and serves as the chairman of the SBE International Committee.

Also receiving a promotion was Wendell Lonergan, a long-time Nautel staffer. Lonergan has been named sales manager - Europe. He was a member of Nautel's engineering team for 25 years and has been technical sales and marketing manager at the company for the past five years.
