Washington - Mar 3, 2011 - The NASBA-NAB EAS Committee will hold the second in a series of webinar presentations to provide information on implementation of the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP). Implementing CAP: Case Studies from Three States will be presented March 10, 2011, from 4-5 p.m. ET. The session will feature the following presentations:

Washington State - Washington State's Migration to CAP: Where We Are, How We Got There, and What's Ahead
presented by Don Miller, telecommunications and warning systems manager, it telecommunications Washington Military Department

Michigan - Fostering Regional Cooperation to Build a CAP-Compliant Path: Funding, Dual Path Delivery Models and Access from Warning Input Points
presented by Larry Estlack, director of technology, Michigan Association of Broadcasters, and chairman, Michigan State Emergency Communications Committee (SECC), and Michigan Emergency Alert System

Maine - A Small State's Approach to Implementing CAP
presented by Suzanne Goucher, president and CEO, Maine Association of Broadcasters

The session to discuss the FCC's Part 11 rulemaking proceeding will be held April 21 at 4 p.m ET. This session, originally scheduled for March, was been postponed because the NPRM has not yet been released.
