Washington, DC - May 22, 2013 - The application deadline for the 2013/2014 Broadcast Leadership Training program (BLT) is May 31, 2013. The program, presented by the NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) is designed to prepare senior broadcasters, particularly women and people of color, to own and operate radio and television stations or move into more senior positions.

The executive MBA style program guides participants through the process of assessing, purchasing, owning and operating radio and television stations. It is taught by senior level broadcast managers, FCC staff, communications attorneys, Wall Street investors and members of the banking community as well as academic faculty from leading universities.

When the 2013 class graduates in June, the BLT program will have 220 alumni, more than 50 percent of whom have been promoted one or more times, 34 program graduates who currently own or have owned stations, and numerous others in various stages of station acquisition.

The training begins in September 2013 with meetings one weekend a month for ten months through June. Fellowships are available to women and people of color. The application and additional information is on the NAB website. You can also contact Michelle Duke at 202-429-5361.
