NAB and SBE Offer Satellite Uplink Operator Training
The National Association of Broadcasting /Society of Broadcast Engineers Satellite Uplink Operators Training Workshop will be held Sept. 29 through Oct. 2, 2014, at NAB's headquarters in Washington.
The course begins daily at 8 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.
The organizations say the course is an opportunity to learn to avoid satellite interference from Sidney Skjei.
Attendance at the workshop costs $1,250 for NAB and SBE members and $1,550 for other attendees.
The fee includes classroom instruction, hands-on training in a satellite newsgathering truck, a field trip to a nearby, large satellite teleport and operations center, lunch and refreshments each day.
