NAB Seeks HD Multicast Nominations
The NAB is now looking for nominees to receive honors at its fourth annual HD Radio Multicast Award program, being held at the 2010 Radio Show at the end of September in Washington, D.C. The awards are designed to recognize broadcasters offering FM HD Radio multicast channels with "unique, innovative or groundbreaking programming."
Previous award recipients include KBCO-FM Denver's "The Studio C Channel," WRIF-FM Detroit's "Riff2," WHUR-WORLD, an extension of Howard University's WHUR-FM, and WAMU-FM for its Bluegrass Country station, 88.5-2.
Entrants must provide a short summary (150 words or less) of their HD multicast programming and how it differentiates and promotes itself outside of the primary program channel. More information and an online entry form is available at www.nab.org/hdaward. Those seeking more information can contact Melek Demir at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for entries is July 30, 2010.
