New York - Sep 5, 2006 - On Sept. 7, as part of the group's effort to evaluate new radio monitoring systems, the Smart Cell Phone monitoring system from the Media Audit/Ipsos will be demonstrated for the first time. The Next Generation Committee, a group of 20 radio broadcasters and advertising agencies is headed by Clear Channel.
This demonstration will show the Media Audit/Ipsos' Smart Cell Phone monitoring encoded radio signals, storing the monitored data in the cell phone buffer (memory) for a couple of minutes and then transferring the monitored data to the data center in Houston where it will be processed in five minutes. The monitored results will show up on the computer screen linked via Internet connection to the Houston data center. Total lapse time will be less than 10 minutes.
