HD Radio Alliance Plans HD Radio 2010 Holiday Push
Columbia, MD - Sep 28, 2010 - The HD Radio Alliance and its 10 member radio broadcasters are preparing to launch a consumer marketing campaign to accelerate HD Radio receiver sales. The campaign intends to influence holiday shopping plans and drive consumers to major retailers. The ads will run in 100 markets with a high frequency level on 600+ radio stations during the fourth quarter of 2010.
The campaign has two related themes. The first, "The North Pole Gears Up", will feature North Pole residents during October as they plan for the annual holiday season. The second, "Time to Shop", brings listeners into the lives of Santa, Mrs. Claus, the elves and consumers as they make decisions for Holiday 2010 gift giving during November and December. Sears, Best Buy and Magnolia Home Theatre will be individually supported in specific creative executions. These retailers have collaborated with HD Radio partner brands JVC, Denon and Insignia and the HD Radio Alliance to launch new products and special holiday offers. Interactive and drive to Web messaging will be included and supported on relevant websites.
The Campaign will commence as part of the HD Radio Alliance Q4 campaign, beginning Sept. 28, 2010, running through Dec. 28, 2010.
