Harris Hosts HD Radio Class
Quincy, IL - Dec 13, 2010 - In early November 2010, the training department at Harris held a four-day HD Radio technology training session covering the relevant topics from the studio to the transmitter site. The 15 participants got to see and use the actual equipment needed to plan, install, configure and verify a new HD Radio system, as well as test, maintain, and troubleshoot an existing IBOC AM or FM system. The course covered many of today's options for planning and managing a station's migration to this exciting technology, including the latest updates and presentations by seven different third-party manufacturers of HD Radio-related equipment.
15 people attended the Harris IBOC class in November.
Representatives from Minnesota Public Radio, New York Public Radio, Dial-Global Networks and Calhoun Communications were among those in attendance.
The next Harris event is scheduled for May 16-19, 2011. Contact Mark Goins at Harris for more details.
