Globecast Acquires Netia
Paris - Sep 8, 2008 - Globecast has acquired all the shares of software company Netia. Netia will retain its identity and autonomy in terms of administrative functions, as well as its personnel. Both companies will optimize their product development and marketing costs by taking advantage of synergies between skill sets and will, of course, cooperate both commercially and technically to the benefit of broadcasters of all sizes.
A subsidiary of France Telecom, Globecast is a provider of content management and transmission services for broadcast and operates a secure global satellite and fiber network.
Netia provides software for managing and broadcasting television and radio content. The company has four product ranges: Radio-Assist (audio), Manreo (video), Open Net (audio and video), and Media Logging (audio and video).
