Senate Confirms Genachowski and McDowell for FCC
Washington - Jun 25, 2009 - Julius Genachowski has passed the Senate confirmation process to be the next chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. Genachowski and Robert McDowell, who had been renominated for his expired FCC seat, were unanimously approved by the Senate.
Genachowski replaces Kevin Martin, who stepped down earlier this year. Genachowski has worked for the FCC in the past, but has not served as a commissioner.
