Foley Joins Prism Sound US Sales Team
Cambridge, UK - Jan 12, 2009 - Prism Sound in the U.S. has appointed Dan Foley to the position of telephony solution strategist and sales representative for test and measurement systems in the Eastern United States. Foley was recruited to the Prism Sound team by Doug Ordon, president of Douglas Ordon and Associates and Prism Sound's national sales representative for the Americas.
Foley is the principal of Foley and Associates, a Boston-based company specializing in technology and market development for the audio test and measurement market. Foley received a bachelor of science in engineering from the University of Hartford with an emphasis in acoustics and vibration. He began his career at Bruel & Kjaer, the Danish manufacturer of acoustic, vibration, and audio test and measurement instrumentation.
Foley later joined Listen Inc. as vice president of sales and marketing. Listen is a PC-based test and measurement company targeted at the development of test systems for electroacoustic products including loudspeakers, microphones, hearing aids, communication headsets, analog and digital telephones, cell phones, and voice over IP phones.
Foley is a member of the IEEE Subcommittee on Telephone Instrument Testing and the Audio Engineering Society (AES) working group on Digital Audio Measurement Techniques. In addition, Foley is a contributing member to standards development sponsored by the Telecommunications Industry Association, and has authored technical papers for the AES, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
