FEMA Webinar Planned for Oct 13, 2011

Washington - Oct 11, 2011 - FEMA will hold its next EAS webinar on Oct. 13, 2011, from 12:20 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET. The title is Nationwide Emergency Alert System Test Preparations and Procedures - A Year in Review. This will be the final webinar before the national EAS test on Nov. 9, 2011.

The webinar will discuss final preparations, procedures and expectations. This discussion will focus on a year in review of the national dialog on the EAS, aggregate test information and resources, as well as address questions that still remain from the EAS community.

The discussion will cover the first version of the EAS Best Practices Guide, a review of National Public Radio's (NPR) participation, a review of the monitoring assignments and best practices and a review of the informational materials and resources.
