DRM+ Symposium Slated for May 27
The State Media Authority of Rhineland-Palatine (LMK) and the University of Applied Sciences of Kaiserslautern have scheduled a symposium to explore prospects for the use of DRM+ in VHF band III. Entitled "Together with DAB+: The Positive Potential for Digital Broadcasting," the event is scheduled for May 27, 2010, at Novotel Kaiserslautern, in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
The symposium will offer presentations on system concepts, along with laboratory and field data generated during DRM+/DAB+ testing conducted in VHF band III. Real-time transmissions and reception chains with DRM+ and DAB+ will be demonstrated, and national and international experts will discuss the technology's prospects from different perspectives including frequency allocation, network operation, receiver manufacturing and content.
Participation in the symposium is open and free, but requires advance registration.
Mugler AG, Rohde & Schwarz, RLP Inform, World Family of Radio Maria, and Fondazione Formare are co-sponsoring.
