Seoul - Jun 17, 2011 - Senior members of the DRM Consortium attended the 21st Korean Broadcast Engineer and Technicians Association Exhibition and Conference, holding meetings with major players and stakeholders in there. DRM Chairperson Ruxundra Obreja, Vice Chair Ludo Maes and Technical Committee Chair Lindsay Cornell met with senior Korean broadcasters as well as receiver manufacturers. The Korean government requested evaluations of the DRM standards, and reports outlining the test results have been returned to the government and the Digital Radio Committee (representing all stakeholders in the process of digitization of radio broadcast in Korea). The DRC is advising the government on the future digital broadcast standard, which is scheduled to be announced by the end of this year.
