Dielectric Hosts Third Annual FM Engineering Conference
Raymond, ME - Aug 19, 2008 - Dielectric Communications hosted its third annual FM Engineering Executive Conference. The event, held Aug. 13-15 at the Sebasco Harbor Resort in Maine, provided an opportunity for radio executives from around the nation to gather together and study new technologies and concepts in radio broadcasting.
Dielectric's top engineers presented a wealth of information to attendees, including presentations on digital broadcast radio antenna design, digital radio integration and monitoring and controllers. The event also included several guest speakers, including Tim Bealor of Broadcast Electronics with a presentation on FM boosters and single-frequency networks, Ben Brinitzer of Clear Channel discussing the effects of -10dB IBOC sidebands, Steve Fluker of Cox Radio speaking on disaster preparation and recovery, Terry Cockerill of Harris presenting a discussion of transmission system requirements of elevated HD Radio sidebands, and Gary Liebisch of Nautel on the topic of amplifier headroom considerations for -10dB digital carriers.
