Cumulus Media, Radiate Media Launch Radio Traffic Reporting Service
Atlanta - Mar 5, 2012 - Cumulus Mediaand national traffic information provider Radiate Media have launched a new traffic reporting service for radio stations. The service will be called Right Now Traffic and will launch on Cumulus stations in the top 75 U.S. markets beginning in April 2012. Cumulus also plans to make Right Now Traffic available to other stations.
Right Now Traffic reports will provide comprehensive coverage of traffic conditions coast to coast. The reports will be powered by a traffic flow network that includes government sensors, toll tag monitoring and billions of GPS data points.
Radiate Media's traffic data comes in part from Nokia (formerly Navteq) a source also used for GPS navigation devices, in-vehicle navigation systems, mobile devices and hundreds of radio and television stations.
