Clear Channel Radio Launches Real-time Traffic with HD Radio
San Antonio - Jan 6, 2008 - Clear Channel Radio's Total Traffic Network (CCTTN) has launched real-time traffic services using HD Radio channels today. The service, which delivers updated traffic information at more than 500 messages per minute, is operational in 50 markets. Dual Electronics has launched the first commercial personal navigation device to offer this service.
The traffic data for this service is created by a combination of Clear Channel's Total Traffic Network and INRIX floating car data. All the data that is provided is continuously monitored and updated by Clear Channel's staff of local traffic data producers.
