Cypress, CA - May 7, 2012 - Clarion Corporation of America (CCA) has released a new product called Next Gate, a smartphone controller for the iPhone. Meant for in-care use, the Next Gate has a simple mounting and connection method, using a windshield mount and built-in speaker, microphone and audio output for a vehicle auxiliary jack. Additionally, it comes equipped with a Micro SD slot, blue LED buttons and indicator, and a 7" digital WVGA touch-panel LCD monitor.
Key app partners for Next Gate include TuneIn, Pandora, Vlingo, Inrix Traffic and InfoGation, with more to come. Clarion is currently working with multiple app partners to expand the functionality of Next Gate. Clarion's new Smart Access Cloud Telematics Service will enable users to download additional approved apps under development now and in the future. Clarion's Next Gate will be available beginning June 1, 2012 at a suggested retail price of $269.99.
