RAJAR Measures Further Increases in UK Digital Platform Useage

Feb 1, 2012 - RAJAR has released its audience measurements for the UK for the final quarter of 2011. The results show:

◊ The share of radio listening via a digital platform now stands at 29.1 percent of all radio listening increasing from 25 percent in Q4 2010 (28.2 percent Q3, 2011).
◊ DAB listening increased its share from 15.8 percent in Q42010 to 19.4 percent in Q42011.
◊ Internet listening currently stands at 3.4 percent for Q42011 up from 3.1 percent in Q42010.
◊ Digital listening hours for Q42011 are up 15 percent from 26.2 million hours in Q42010, to 30 million hours this quarter.
◊ 15.1 percent of adults aged 15+ listened to the radio via mobile phone in Q42011 up 14.1 percent year over year.
