JK Audio Celebrates 20 Years
Sandwich, IL - Apr 5, 2012 - In 1992, JK Audio introduced its first product: The Model 6.4, an audiophile speaker system. Since then, the company has grown to have a line of 60 products carried by 150 dealers around the world. The company currently employs 17 people.
The company's products are used in radio and TV, but also in pro audio, music industry, houses of worship, film sound, sports complexes, military (from nuclear subs to AWAC) and by Homeland Security, the Pentagon and the FAA.
Joe Klinger, president of JK Audio, provided this company timeline.
1992 - First JK Audio product - Model 6.5, an audiophile level speaker system.
1992 - Laboratory-grade audio interfaces built for the telecom industry.
1994 - QuickTap and That-1 become mainstays for interview recording.
1995 - RemoteMix Broadcast Mixer Series is born.
1997 - RemoteMix 3x4 ships to network TV stations.
1998 - Inline Patch, the first hybrid for cordless phones.
1999 - Innkeeper 1, the company's first digital hybrid is introduced.
2000 - RemoteMix Sport introduced.
2001 - Daptor One, first in a series of wireless phone interfaces.
2002 - ComPack - 10 years of Universal Telecom Interface experience.
2003 - Broadcast Host and Innkeeper PBX
2004 - AutoHybrid, the first passive auto-answer hybrid.
2005 - Innkeeper 4, the first 1RU four-line digital hybrid.
2006 - Four IFB Phone Bridge replaces RemoteMix 3x4 for TV IFB
2006 - Moved into company's new headquarters.
2007 - RemoteMix 4 introduced, includes Bluetooth.
2008 - BluePack Interview Tool
2009 - BlueKeeper offers a Bluetooth desktop hybrid.
2010 - BlueDriver and BlueSet series offer more tools for broadcasters.
2011 - JK Audio enters talk show market with Concierge and Guest Modules
2012 - 20 Years, and the company introduces three additional and unique audio interface products at the 2012 NAB Show.
JK Audio will exhibit in booth C151 at the 2012 NAB Show.
