International Datacasting Acquires Comtech Tiernan Product Lines
Ottawa, ON, and San Diego, CA - Aug 18, 2009 - International Datacasting Corporation has acquired select product lines and related technology from Comtech Tiernan Video. The transaction is structured as an asset purchase agreement between the two companies at a price of $2 million.
Tiernan develops and markets a line of digital video compression and decompression products including high-definition and standard-definition video encoders, video receivers, interface converters, and satellite audio and data broadcast. The product line also includes satellite equipment originally developed and marketed by Comstream for radio broadcast applications.
