DTS to Acquire SRS Labs
Calabasas, CA, and Santa Ana, CA - Apr 17, 2012 - DTS has acquired all the shares of SRS Labs as of Dec. 31, 2011.
DTS technology is part of the Blu-ray Disc standard and is being used by radio broadcasters to provide surround sound broadcasts.
Founded in 1993, SRS Labs develops audio signal processing for consumer electronics. Beginning with the audio technologies originally developed at Hughes Aircraft, SRS Labs holds approximately 150 worldwide registered and pending patents.
