Day Sequerra Sells 1,000th HD Radio Monitor
West Berlin, NJ - Mar 15, 2007 - Day Sequerra has sold its 1,000th HD Radio monitor. The unit was sold to Vermont Public Radio (VPR) in Burlington, VT, who ordered the new Model M4.2R. VPR already owns a number of Day Sequerra M2.2 and M4.0 units, and will use the new M4.2R for audio monitoring and to alarm key parameters of its HD Radio signal.
The new M4.2R includes six dry, floating relay contacts that can be programmed to operate on the loss of HD Radio PAD, analog RBDS data, audio, RF carrier, OFDM lock, multicast available and delay bit status. The unit can stream PAD from its Ethernet port, or function as a fully remote controllable tuner/alarm using the included proprietary Day Sequerra Remote Dashboard software. HD Radio SIS and PAD are displayed in the M4.2R's vacuum florescent display along with RBDS data, signal strength and multipath.
In addition to balanced left and right analog outputs, the unit contains a transformer-driven digital output that operates full time, even when the M4.2R is tuned to an analog station.
Vermont Public Radio will use the M4.2R to monitor WVPS, 107.9 FM, currently transmitting three HD Radio streams.
