Australian Broadcasters Celebrate Three Years of DAB+
Sydney - Aug 24, 2012 - The third anniversary of the introduction of DAB+ in Australia was celebrated the morning of Aug. 24 from sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Dozens of broadcasters from commercial and non-commercial stations carried out live broadcasts during their morning shows to publicize the DAB+ services.
Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) released a statement saying almost 10 per cent of Australian households have a digital radio, with a forecast by PWC indicating that the number will reach 16 percent by December 2013.
The Australian Broadcasting Company's show "The World Today" produced an interesting podcast about the broadcasts. It's available online at this link.
