Is Android the Answer for SiriusXM?
Twice's Joe Palenchar is reporting that SiriusXM has decided to integrate a variant of the Android OS into it entire product family. The move mirrors a worldwide design trend that clearly favors the flexibility of software-defined digital radio platforms competing in an increasingly dynamic market environment.
The actual operating software for the satcaster's next generation of receiver will reportedly come from Teleca USA, based in Seattle.
