Broadcasters Foundation of America Names New Board Members and Officer
New York - Jul 16, 2013 - The Broadcasters Foundation of America has named four new members and a new officer to its board of directors. The new members were voted in during the recent board meeting, held in New York City.
Representing a cross-section of radio and television broadcasters, the new board members are:
■ Brian Cobb, president, CobbCorp
■ Bill Hoffman, president, Cox Media Group
■ Brian Lawlor, senior vice president, television, E.W. Scripps TV Station Group
■ Dan Mason, president and chief executive officer, CBS Radio
The new officer is Leo MacCourtney, president and chief executive officer, Katz Television Group.

The Broadcasters Foundation has provided millions of dollars in aid to colleagues who lost their livelihood through a catastrophic event, debilitating disease, or unforeseen family tragedy. Individual membership is $150 a year. Donations also can be made to the Guardian Fund, and corporate contributions are accepted through the Angel Initiative.
The mission of the Broadcasters Foundation of America is to improve the quality of life and maintain the personal dignity of men and women in the radio and television broadcast profession who find themselves in acute need. The Foundation reaches out across the country to identify and provide an anonymous safety net in cases of critical illness, advanced age, death of a spouse, accident, and other serious misfortune. The Broadcasters Foundation of America is a 501(c)3 Public Charity.
