BE Announces HD Radio Receiver Winners
Quincy, IL - Aug 27, 2007 - As a finale to its online HD Radio seminars, Broadcast Electronics announced the names of the recipients of the Sangean HD Radios offered to attendees. Enrique Lopez, director of engineering for Clear Channel in El Paso, TX, and David Liu, assistant engineer for Univision in San Francisco, have each won Sangean HD Radio tuners, which retail for around $200.
BE also awarded two NAB Radio Show convention registrations worth $500 to two online attendees. Dave Remund, vice president of engineering for Regent Broadcasting in Yuba City, CA, and Jim Glogowski, senior vice president of technical resources for Multicultural Radio Broadcasting in New York were the recipients.
BE drew the names from a pool of several hundred broadcasters who entered for a chance to win during one of six sessions at BE's HD Radio Summer School 2007. The BE webinars drew broadcasters at all stages and functions of HD Radio adoption, including programmers, managers, engineers and production personnel for large and especially small- to mid-market stations.
