Australian DAB+ Stations Participate in Nationwide Christmas Promotion
Sydney - Dec 10, 2012 - 42 Commercial radio stations, encompassing Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, are participating in a buy-one-get-one-free-style Christmas promotion, the goal of which is to sell even more DAB radio receivers.
More than 1 million (1,002,966 to be exact) digital radios have been sold in Australia since the technology launched in 2009, and the plan is for the 2012 Christmas campaign to build on the highly successful Father's Day 2012 campaign that saw 94,655 digital radios sold in 3Q2012.
To complement the new ad campaign, banner ads will appear in trade media and across all 42 commercial station websites.
