Australian Broadcasting Creates Pop-up Station for Rolling Stones 50th
Sydney - Jul 9, 2012 - The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) digital radio is marking the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones by setting up a special event DAB pop-up station, ABC Stones, over the weekend of July 13 - 15, 2012. ABC Stones will feature the music that made the group famous and kept them performing as one of the best live acts over the last 50 years.
ABC special event digital radio continues to highlight unique content and specialized programming. Figures recently released by Commercial Radio Australia indicate there are more than 1.2 million people listening to digital radio in an average week and close to 800,000 digital radios in the market. ABC Stones will be heard via Digital Radio in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, or streamed online at abc.net.au/digitalradio.
